My Baptism 9/22/13

Romans 6:4

New International Version (NIV)
We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.

I feel so blessed to have found an amazing church home here in Macomb. Thank you to Timm Harting for performing my baptism. It was such an amazing day that I will remember always.

Merry Christmas!!!

It's hard to believe it is almost the end of another year! What a year 2012 has been! Full of change and excitement! Here is a year in review for us:

January 2012: We found the house we wanted in Macomb after months of searching and even found a buyer for our home in Oneida!

February 2012: We finalized the sale of our home and found ourselves moving in temporarily with Kevin's parents until we could move into our new home in Macomb. I even got to go on a little trip with my mom, Linda, and Grandma Norma to Las Vegas! Aunt Amy joined us as well.

March/April 2012: We signed on our new home March 15th. Zack turned 6 years old complete with a bowling themed birthday party. Zack started at Lincoln Elementary in Macomb.
June: Kevin and I celebrated our 7th year of marriage and Tommy Anders turned 2 years old! We also took a small family vacation to St. Louis and enjoyed the Magic House, zoo, and swimming.

July 2012: We got to enjoy some time with my cousin Alex from Palm Springs, CA. He worked for Pioneer where Kevin works helping them with the corn pollination. I was kinda bummed to turn 31 this year. 30 didn't bother me...but 31 does!

August 2012: As the summer wound down Zack got ready to head back to school as a first grader. His teacher is Mrs. Ramos and we just love her!

September 2012: As every other fall harvest found it's way upon us again. I enjoyed going to ride in the combine with Kevin. It is quite a different experience riding in a research combine than a normal combine. The boys also enjoyed this. It was also nice to know that Kevin only had a 15 minute drive home.

October 2012: Zack is in full swing at school. Tommy is talking up a storm. We have made some truly great friends here in Macomb. I joined a MOPS (Mom's of Preschoolers) group and have met many moms. They are a great support system.

November 2012: Thanksgiving time already??? LOL! Not a whole lot happening in November!

December 2012: This was a busy month! Zack had his first Christmas program at school. He actually was able to stay up on the stage and not cry. He even danced a little! We took the train up to Kewanee so that we could spend Christmas Eve in Bishop Hill. The boys received many wonderful gifts as did mom and dad! I even got a new zoom lens for my Cannon camera so I can take more pictures and blog more!  We are hosting our first New Year's Eve Party this year! It will be a great time!

Fall Fun on the Farm

We were able to enjoy some nice weather at Dale & Rita's this fall! Zack and Tommy love riding the four wheelers and John Deere Gator with dad or grandpa. Even Addicus got to go for a ride this time.

Trick or Treat!

Halloween has come and gone! Where has the year disappeared to? The boys enjoyed trick or treating this year. Zack really came out of his shell and was able to say "trick or treat" and "thank you" on his own! Since beginning his treatment with medication for anxiety and selective mutism he is making some amazing progress at school and in most social situations. Tommy went to half of the houses and the remainder of the evening he was quite content to sit in the wagon and eat his candy!

Say Cheese!

As soon as Tommy saw my camera he started saying, "CHEEEEESE!" Then Zack had to join in and they made funny faces at me and at each other!

The NEW HOUSE!

We are still on for the big move! The moving van will load our stuff from Oneida on February 22nd! We will be staying with Kevin's parents until we sign on the new house in Macomb on March 2nd! I added a couple more pictures. One is of the master bedroom looking into the master bathroom. The others are half of the living room and the other is the four season room off of the garage that opens to the backyard.

I LOVE my silly boys!

Tommy never fails to make me laugh! He found playing in the dryer quite fun!

Zack got to stay all night at Grandma Crystal's house on Sunday because he didn't have school on Monday! He must have played hard because he fell asleep playing his "pie-pad" as he calls it! LOL!
